They are making a significant change in the transportation and grid markets by solving the grand challenges of better energy. They are doing this by revolutionizing the lithium-ion cell manufacturing process and platform.

Their senior management team incorporates some of the battery industry’s foremost inventors, scientists, and entrepreneurs representing nearly 100 years of experience.

Due to the expansion of the R&D and Product Development team, they require several battery engineers to support the development of their next-generation proprietary cell technology.

The Role
The company offers an opportunity for talented battery engineers to join their team tasked with evaluating active and inactive cell components, and cell designs, evaluating new materials and leading materials evaluation that will connect revolutionary products to the high-growth energy storage market.

You will:
• Have experience in and understanding of lithium-ion chemistry and battery components.
• Build cells and analyze data to quantitatively measure and compare cell performance
• Experience in post-test lithium-ion battery analysis to identify cell/material failure mod
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction, and also as part of a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook email applications.

The Person
With a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrochemical Engineering, or equivalent you will have at least 1 – 3 years or more post-degree years of commercial/industrial battery experience.

Whilst having the ability to work with suppliers exchange technical information and stay abreast of the constant developments of electrochemical materials and cells, you will be able to work within a collaborative organization and be highly motivated and action-orientated as proven by your accomplishments.
