Responsible for mechanical packaging, thermal, and vibration performance of inverters (variable speed drives) as it is integrated into a turbocharger or fuel cell compressor assembly and the design to exceed performance and reliability. You will work with our CAD designers and simulation engineers to develop controller 3D from concept to production status and leverage your knowledge to coordinate internal and external resources on electrical/mechanical interactions, tolerancing, thermal management, vibration and sealing robustness, design for cost, and manufacturing
• Participate in DFMEAs to identify and mitigate risks
• Own overall controller 2D & 3D drawings as well as version management in line with our standard tools and processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of our development cycle productivity by developing and disseminating controller design guidelines and modular architecture that provide customer flexibility while minimizing complexity.
You will have:
Master’s Degree in mechatronic or Mechanical Engineering with 5 years+ experience in mechanical design of electronics for several applications, proficient in CAD applied to electrical/electronic component
Understand well and can coordinate activities in the fields of fluid dynamics, thermal, and mechanical stimulation, and a good understanding of the theory of AC SPM/IPM/Induction motors and their controls for automotive applications is much appreciated
