The Role
We seek a talented and experienced Principal Power Electronics Engineer to supplement our client’s centre of excellence, working on cutting-edge technology solutions for nearly every major automaker worldwide. Our appointee will play a key role in design, collaboration, technological innovation, and first-class coordination to safeguard superior execution of technologies for electrified powertrain applications at our client’s French base.

You will:
· Conceptualise and develop cutting-edge technologies for electrified powertrain applications (topology, components, PCB layout, etc.)

· Play a key role in prototyping, design validation, performance characterization and debugging

· Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing, suppliers, embedded software, and motor control teams

· Innovate with technology where possible to enhance performance and delivery for this iconic brand

The Person
MS/ PhD in power electronics or motor control with significant industry experience (7+ years with PhD/ 10+ with MS) developing three-phase inverters/ related plus additional PCB development lifecycle process capability.

Our winning applicant is practiced in analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit design, possesses hands-on experience with designing, debugging, testing motor controllers and power electronics application designs up to 1KV/ 500A. This gifted individual also boasts deep understanding and expertise in magnetics, switching circuit topologies and gate drivers, modeling, simulation, control of power electronics converters, AC motor control and modulation techniques. Familiarity with safety and EMI requirements, 32-bit microcontrollers, SiC/ GaN devices, CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, embedded C, LabView, CANape, CANalyzer is advantageous as is an aptitude for leadership and mentoring.
