The Role:
Presently, our client seeks a Cell Assembly Process Engineer to drive battery production activities forward. This role involves optimizing manufacturing equipment and methods on pilot and R&D cell assembly lines. They also include providing daily support for R&D cell assembly activities, guiding assembly and quality staff, developing innovative manufacturing methods and equipment, and designing testing methods. They will also lead continuous improvement initiatives, collaborate on machine settings adjustments, prototype new battery cell formats, ensure equipment operationality through maintenance coordination, and research and commission new equipment or modifications.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in Cell Assembly Process Engineering and be educated to at least Bachelor's Degree level in a relevant subject. They will be a hands-on, mechanically minded process engineer who has experience scaling cell processes. They will need to be familiar with pouch cell stacking, critical failure analysis, DFMEA etc.
