Job Description

Are you ready to spearhead innovation and efficiency in equipment maintenance? We're looking for a dynamic individual to take charge of our equipment processes, ensuring seamless operation and enhanced productivity. As an Electric Maintenance Engineer you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire lifecycle of new equipment implementation and driving improvements across our production lines. 

The Company:
Our Client is a multinational business who are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer who will be totally responsible for the whole process of new equipment scheme review from layout to equipment delivery amongst other things, in their Tuscaloosa plant. The client is a well funded business with operations throughout the USA, Europe and Asia. They specialise in end to end solutions for testing, grading, harvesting and recycling electronic parts in and work with some of the worlds biggest OEMs and suppliers.

Responsibilities:
Be responsible for the entire new equipment review process, from layout to delivery, ensuring adherence to design specifications for reliability, maintainability, and product safety/quality. Lead the launch of new production lines, managing milestones such as assembly, debugging, and ramp-up to meet mass production requirements. Drive enhancements in existing equipment capacity, productivity, and quality indicators while minimizing energy consumption and manufacturing costs. Oversee the overhaul of automation systems and robot electrical components, analyzing fault data and devising improvement strategies. Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules, conducting inspections and professional maintenance to optimize equipment performance. Manage the inventory of critical spare parts, ensuring timely updates and procurement to mitigate risks and maintain operational continuity.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation, Electrical Automation, or related fields. Proficiency in electrical schematic diagram compilation and familiarity with automation components and testing equipment software. Hands-on experience in debugging, programming, and optimizing PLCs (Siemens/Mitsubishi/Omron/Schneider) and preferably industrial robots (KUKA, ABB). Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical equipment maintenance within a large manufacturing setting. Fluent in English with excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
