JANUARY 2023 NEWSLETTER

HAPPY NEW YEAR E-LEVATERS!

(Not such) a long time gone...

Happy new year readers – from everybody here at E-Mobility Search. It doesn’t seem that long ago that we last interfaced through this newsletter. It was in fact last year but as the title says – that’s fairly recent (and kudos to those spotting the tribute to a recently departed music legend).

2023 begins with some exciting changes here at E-Levate HQ. Our international footprint is strengthening and boosted by a brand new website which we strongly encourage you to check out by visiting www.e-mobilitysearch.com

The new year is a traditional chance for people to reflect
and many reading this issue will be considering next steps to
advance their line of business. Which is handy because as you’ll see, much of this issue is spent supporting you to manage stress, to consider change, and to see the positives wherever possible.

January 2023 also brings celebration of the Lunar New Year, which is the Year of the Rabbit! Celebrations last up to 16 days, culminating with the Lantern Festival on February 05th.

The Year of the Rabbit presents some great qualities that we can relate to when it comes to looking for a new career opportunity. They are steadily moving towards their goal, no matter what negativity the others give them and with their good reasoning skills and attention to detail, they make great scholars. It’s up to the Rabbit to keep an upbeat attitude to life and work, which will help them sail through difficult patches with patience and resolution.

As you’ll know (or will come to learn) our brand is built upon
matching the right talent to the right role and we work
globally in that regard with a suitably diverse footprint of
skilled recruitment experts to support all of our clients’ needs.

At E-Mobility Search we are unafraid to challenge perceptions
and we’re tireless in pursuit of matching the right talent to the
right role.

Read on, empower yourself or your business, start 2023 with optimism, let us help you to evolve your organisation or your career, and shine.

we scrub up well...

That’s right, the rumours are true. 2023 is out with the old and in with the new and much improved, fresh, glittering E-Mobility Search website.

https://e-mobilitysearch.com/ is the address for you to bookmark.

When it comes to emerging technology, our brand is already well-established in the sector and always seeking new ways to develop. A new website to match those ambitions is a must as we welcome our US and Asian offices into the fold. We’re a diverse team and we recognised a requirement for a suitable website to match everybody’s needs (both staff and users).

We’ll continue utilising our tried-and-trusted recruitment methods (we’re recognised as experts in the field for a reason) – but the new .com has better interfacing for phones, tablets and whatever comes next. As our demand increases, it will allow us to handle even heavier traffic and provide our unique service to even more people and businesses at the time they need it.

Use our brand new contact us page for any recruitment needs, job-placement requests or feedback on our new digs (home – for international readers) or if you’ve never reached out to us before, why not visit our ‘About’ page, where you can meet the brains and the beauty behind E-Mobility Search and contact some of our team, who can’t wait to meet you!

Maybe you want to apply for one of our latest vacancies or brush up on ideas for how to best prepare your CV for that new career move! Even if you’re on the go and can’t access a laptop or PC, head over to your phone and easily scroll through our NEW interactive website! We’re sure you’ll love it as much as we do.

Mental health at work

It remains a timeless banger but “Blue Monday” is now also observed on the third Monday of January, which will have just passed by the time you read this. The infamous day has been dubbed the “most depressing of the year” due to a combination of post-holiday blues, cold weather, and Christmas decorations going back up into the loft. However, looking after our own and each other’s wellbeing and supporting robust mental health isn’t just for Christmas (or January), it’s important all year round. E-Mobility Search know that employees and potential recruits appreciate employers who promote strong mental well-being in the workplace and support us through our struggles whenever they should crop up.

These subjects impacts both productivity and job   satisfaction and failure to effectively manage them should concern everybody from the factory floor to the boardroom. It’s important for employers to create a supportive environment where open dialogue is welcomed, which promotes mental well-being and encourages employees to speak out when suffering mental health issues. Regular employee check-ins, providing resources and support, and promoting a positive work-life balance all assist in this endeavour

Another important related factor is the ability to focus and the management of stress – something most of us have good and bad experiences of. Better balance can be achieved through effective time management, setting realistic workplace goals that everyone buys into, and practicing mindfulness and relaxation techniques. Pro-active employers often provide things like stress management workshops and mental health days to help employees manage their stress levels.

A positive mindset and setting work goals you personally care about can help keep you focussed, motivated and resilient in the face of short-term setbacks. Encouraging employees to adopt these mindsets and focus on job-positives can help boost morale and efficiency. A progressive work environment recognises and rewards hard work, provides opportunities for professional development, and promotes a healthy work-life balance. These are potential organisational enhancements if recruitment and retention need work.

Encouraging open communication, promoting mental wellbeing and a positive mindset, managing stress, and focusing can help employers create a supportive work environment. Blue Monday is a timely reminder but it’s important to remember that mental health is ongoing and needs year-round maintenance if we’re all to remain motivated and productive.

In the 1990s, Bob Hoskins said “it’s good to talk”. E-Mobility Search wholeheartedly agree. Use our contact us page to send a message, call or write to us. Let’s discuss the new year’s prospects.

New Year - New Career (Path)?

Change can be daunting, but a career pivot is an exciting opportunity for personal and professional growth. E-Mobility Search approve these career navigation tips:

  1. Take stock of your current skills, knowledge experience, and behaviours. What do you enjoy? What are you good at? Consider taking a career assessment test or   peer-review to help identify your strengths.
  2. Research different industries and roles: Investigate job requirements, salaries, development potential, and job satisfaction for multiple positions/sectors.
  3. Network: Attend industry events, connect with members of your desired field, and ask for information to learn more about specific roles or businesses.
  4. Consider your values and priorities: What’s most important to you – location, work-life balance, salary, sustainability credentials or one of many more factors?   Jobs aligning to your values are likely to satisfy you more.
  5. Try things out: Consider taking on a part-time, freelance or internship role in your desired field to gain experience and see if it fits you well. Trying is knowing.
  6. Be change-positive: This could take time and it’s okay to try different roles and   industries before finding the perfect one. Keep an open, optimistic mind.

Here are some signs to look out for when deciding if it’s time for a career change:

  1. Job satisfaction deficit: Dreading going to work every day or feeling unfulfilled may well be a sign it’s time for a change.
  2. Feeling stuck in the mud: If you’ve been in the same role for a long time and don’t see any advancement route, other options need exploring.
  3. Burnout: Feeling exhausted does not provide mental reassurance.
  4. A change in personal circumstances: Starting a family or wanting to relocate can often be good reasons to mull a career change.
  5. Passions lie elsewhere: If you find yourself constantly daydreaming about a fantasy career or have a hobby that consumes your every thought, it’s worth   examining the possibilities.

As we said, this can be daunting, but it’s important to keep in mind that making a career change can also be hugely rewarding. It’s okay to change your mind and try something different if it doesn’t work out. E-Mobility Search are here to help you refine your approach and narrow your search to find a career you’ll love.

De-icing the windscreen

That’s the first issue of 2023 completed. We’re now ready to kick into gear for the rest of this next trip around the sun. By the way – it’s nice to see some rays returning after December, even if the temperature isn’t rising much to match it yet in this precise location. Happily, though, being such an international enterprise, E-Mobility Search’s team casts eyes over a very diverse set of weather reports each day. That means some of us are currently warm – and some of us are jealous!

That diversity is our strength. We are uniformly skilled and experienced recruitment experts – to a level unmatched, but we pull those invaluable skills and experience from an extremely rich and diverse pool. This is key.

Our sector is not restricted by borders, always finding savvy solutions to global challenges, always pushing at the boundaries of technology, supporting the movement of people and the health of the planet. We could not reinforce all of this in the fashion we are known to, without a similar mindset of out-the-box thinking and a complimentary willingness to challenge perceptions.

E-Mobility Search’s raison d’etre is to help our sector exploit all avenues to accomplish highly challenging but massively rewarding objectives. We facilitate premium talent placement for premium businesses and standout individuals. If you haven’t done so yet, please subscribe to stay in the loop, and contact us for all of your recruitment needs.
